Thirsty Giant
Different kinds of claypots are balance on wooden piles in the installa on “Thirsty Giant”. The water inside the pots evaporates or increases according to the weather. Merciless sunshine can make the piles fall, while rain will extend the process. The setup is like a scale, if the weight gets too heavy or too light, the balance is lost and the structure falls down. The water will flow back to nature.
Thirsty Giant was part of the Huh- Sculpture Path in Art Taarasti, Nastola Finland 16.6.- 13.8.

Installation at the end of the exhibition, after being nerly two months outside; the grass has grown around 30 cm, three towers has broken, yet none of the clay pots got broken because of the soft ground. Most of the pots were still half filledl with water, it was a rainy summer.
